Why This Scholarship Matters

Across Murang’a County, many bright learners fail to progress due to financial hardship. Orphaned students face the greatest risk. School fees, uniforms, and upkeep costs often force them out of the education system.

To address this challenge, the county continues to invest in programmes that reduce inequality and expand opportunity. Education remains a central pillar of this strategy.

Public–Private Partnerships Power the Programme

Although county resources remain limited, Murang’a has strengthened collaboration with private sector partners. Through support from Co-operative Bank of Kenya and a well-wisher, Food for Education, the county has secured funding for six full scholarships.

This partnership model ensures sustainability while extending impact to the learners who need it most.

Who Is Eligible for the Scholarships?

The selection process follows a weighted vetting system to guarantee fairness and transparency.
